Didn't they even change a few evaluatory citizenship considerations as a result of this abomination? What's your argument here?

You might want to give up on the search for extra-terrestrial intelligence Give up trying to be witty, az. It's not your strong point.
If it matters, Seti I was a pharoah, father of Rameses II. If I knew how I'd post you a picture of his mummy.

LOL wrong answer.
Which court was he indicted by, on charges for what?
If he's a convicted criminal, what were the charges? Where are the trial transcripts? What sentence was served?
The first page of search results alone is packed with Marxist (commondreams), lunatic(lyndon larouche), and terrorist(palestinefacts, palestinecenter) websites - I'm not going any further.

Take your pick of any of the links on the ten pages of links displayed. Ten pages of links? I just need 1. To Israel's supreme court. You still haven't addressed the ruling of a US court that held up the fact that Time magazine defamed Sharon in their article (1985). As for the Israeli court, the charge amounted to negligence and he was forced to resign. Man, you're ignorant.

Naming yourself after a theocratic dictator tyrant, why didn't you pick your real hero, the terrorist Arafat?

Only that the ZOA should show a bit of consistency in their outrage over murdered Americans. It seems a bit selective.
What's your arguement?

*NEWSFLASH*
ZOA is an organization with agenda. It has never pretended otherwise.

He was not an Isreali National at the time he broke out the power tools and tortured his victim. Even the Isrealis were embarrassed by the shameless manueverings they went through to provide safe haven for the sadistic cretin. Didn't they even change a few evaluatory citizenship considerations as a result of this abomination? The comment on Israeli Nationals was a generality, not applicable to the Sheinbein murderer. My recollection is that he wasn't extradited due to the death penalty issue (common), though the disparity in the sentence a minor committing such a crime would face in the US vs Israel might have been an issue as well. My understanding is there were some changes made in the citizenship application process.
An interesting issue will present itself when he completes his sentence, at which time some feel another extradition request could be made (if the death penalty is waived). Is it double jeopardy?

That is a very interesting issue. Unless some big shots on both sides can reach an agreement, I'd expect another extradition request. The Maryland DA's were, and still are, immensely POed over this whole thing.

In any case, he's serving some serious time in Israel.

Naming yourself after a theocratic dictator tyrantThere you go again,az. Trying to be witty just doesn't work for you.
I'll give you some more fun: some biblical archaeologists think Seti I was the pharoah of the Exodus. Of course, most Egyptologists don't think the Exodus occured at all.

. . . the US has traditionally exercised the right to try killers of US citizens overseas under US law. I believe this is only in the event the killer is not charged in another jurisdiction. This is why the U.S. will have a very hard time charging the mastermind of the Achille Lauro hijacking and the murder of Leon Klinghoffer -- he was already tried and convicted in Italy.

I've always wondered about whether Sheinbein was truly an Israeli "citizen," or if he simply took advantage of Israel's rules of citizenship to flee the U.S. and call himself an Israeli on a moment's notice.

OK,az, try this one: http://www.mfa.gov.il/mfa/go.asp?MFAH0ign0
Or type Kahan Commission into Google and take your pick.

If the U.S. government were serious about the Sheinbein case, Israel's extradition rules wouldn't have mattered.
I don't know if you remember this, but roughly around the time of this murder there was also a horrific car crash in Washington D.C. involving a diplomat from the Republic of Georgia who was driving while intoxicated. He left the country under the protection of his diplomatic immunity, but the outrage that followed resulted in some, uh, "pressure" being put on the Georgian government.
The guy was eventually sent back to the U.S. to stand trial for vehicular homicide. As far as I know, he is now serving time in a U.S. prison.

Major hoops were jumped through, after his escape to Isreal, to deem him worthy of citizenship. As noted previously on this thread, the mechanisms used proved so embarrassing as to force Isreal to re-evaluate and plug a few loopholes/escape hatches.
And for those suggesting he's doing "serious" hard time, well as photos seem to be all the rage, I'd like a little photo documentation of that....I'd bet it's a "cakewalk" compared to mixing daily with the best of Baltimore. ;o)

I am embarrassed that the link didn't link. At any rate, the essential part is
Mr. Sharon was found responsible for ignoring the danger of bloodshed and revenge when he approved the entry of the Phalangists into the camps as well as not taking appropriate measures to prevent bloodshed.
I think the World Court in Belgium is preparing a prosecution, for what that's worth.
