Mr. Buehlers legal career began with a clerkship with the Honorable Robert Gardner, Presiding Justice of the California Court of Appeal, Fourth District. He then joined the Special Operations Division of the California Attorney Generals Office where he spent three years investigating financial frauds in public and nonprofit organizations. It was here that he began to refine his interest in criminal law and developed a sensitivity towards the nurturing of organizations designed to serve the public interest. In 1978 Mr. Buehler entered private practice with Douglas Dalton, a prominent criminal defense lawyer in Los Angeles, and then in 1982 joined the small firm of Miller and Nolan in Beverly Hills where he specialized in white collar criminal defense for 10 years. He then joined and became a partner with Howrey Simon Arnold & White, where he practiced both white collar criminal defense and complex civil business litigation. Mr. Buehler joined Geragos & Geragos in 2001 to focus more of his practice on criminal matters. He handles all types of criminal cases in state and federal courts and continues also to represent clients in civil business matters.
