Its part of the show. His accent stays muddled on purpose, just as he always seems to work in a favorite line while on the stand ("You all look alike to me"). Watch next time he's testifying on Court TV.
Lee knows his stuff, but I've grown weary with his act. I said earlier, it's very possible, if a side hires him, he'll end up by default aiding the other side.

Lee does know his stuff. However, if he wasn't just in it for the money, then I think we would see him turning DOWN some high profile cases. Anyway, this won't be tried in downtown Los Angelos, thank God. The Prosecution will probably be able to get a Jury with an IQ above room temperature. And I agree, his testimony in this case just might backfire.

I made a joke earlier that perhaps his muddled accent helps the defense. Why do you think this to be the case? Can you explain his "act" to me? It seems he did well for the defense in the Simpson trial. I am weary of him also, in addition to his inclination to be a paid expert witness for the defense..I find him to be a "smarty pants" possessing an inappropriate childish sense of humor and affect.
