This is off topic, but I've been thinking about Jackie Peterson, trying to look behind her frantic and callous behavior. I've read that she previously had had several (2? 3?) children which she gave up for adoption. Were they newborns or older? Was she ever married to any of the fathers?

I've also read that Mr. Peterson was a married man w/children, but he got a divorce to marry her when she was pregnant w/Scott.

Was this her first marriage? Evidently, Scott is the first child she's had that she actually raised, which may account for her complete blind devotion to him. Promiscuity seems to run in that family.

I don't think it's off topic at all. Scott is like he is (guilty or not :)!) because of his rearing. I read about the other 'given up' children yesterday at the same time I read about Lee P leaving his pregnant wife and children to marry Jackie while she was pregnant with Scott. It was on the thread regarding the defense's hunt for 'Donnie the
Druggie'. I have not seen a source for this information, so I can't attest to its accuracy (sometimes not even then :)). I haven't heard or read about it anywhere else.

I wonder if his promiscuity is inherited or learned behavior and how much he knows of his parents' history, if it's true.

Probably someone has answered you already about JP's children. But this is what I gather from reading on courttv, from a poster who seems to know what s/he is talking about.

Jackie (Latham) had 2 children out of wedlock before the age of 19, gave them both up, one a boy, one a girl. The boy is apparently the one in PA who sometime ago made contact with her. The girl's status is unknown to the poster on court, I believe, though I wonder if it isn't the one named Susan who does look like Scaught, therefore is more likely Jackie's child--but I could be all wrong about that one.

Then on top of that, Jackie met Lee P who was a married man at the time, she became pregnant a third time, he divorced his own pregnant wife to marry Jackie. Lee and Jackie marry, have John the child she was pg with when they married (I'm thinking John is the one who looks like Scaught and probably the owner of the passport). Then Scott is born after that. Lee had 3 other children with his first wife, before the divorce, since there are supposedly 7 children between Lee & Jackie.

I think this covers what was stated on courttv. And a little editorial comment here from me, though I know it's not pc to be judgmental--but somebody was watching too many soaps...one mistake I can understand, but 3?
