I don't deny that kidnapping happens, and it might even happen more often if the exorbitant profits were removed from drugs, but since kidnapping has a much lower profit-to-effort ratio than dealing drugs it'd be unlikely to replace all the lost revenue.

Thanks for the exchange but I don't think legalizing drugs is a positive path or the answer to anything.
