KSTE has Laura? Cool! That's where I found Armstrong & Getty (and their Freeper-supported First Amendment battle against Sacramento's liberal mayor).

I like Pete Wilson's show, too. There are some times where I WISH he'd agree with me on some issues, because he's smart, for a big-headed Minnesotan. :-)
There are other issues, such as runaway PC-ness, where he scorches the leftists. He had an excellent one hour interview/call-in with Tammy Bruce. The leftists were twisted around the axle - it was funny. He agreed with most of what she said.

Could it have anything to do with the fact that KSFO is an ABC affiliate and Savage is now an (MS)NBC talent?

Agreed. It would have been better just to say that they had philosophical differences, that he wanted to take his show into a different direction in the market, spend more time with his family! (hee hee)
Or just the truth, that he wanted to come to terms with them in his contract renewal, but they weren't able to reach a mutually agreeable decision. I could accept that. But this "technical difficulty" stuff? Minor league stuff.

There are quite a few folks I know that would rather have Sean's entire show at noon and have KSFO lose Dr. Laura...I'm one. I like Dr. Laura, but I rilly rilly want to reach through thr radio and THROTTLE about half her callers!
To: Ambisonx
P.S. - and lying to his audience is incredibly insulting as well. They deserve better.

I was watching Wilson when he was on KGO with Suzanne Shaw, then on KRON when Shaw became Saunders Shaw then back to Suzanne Shaw. Since the sale to Young, I've still been watching KRON for local news, so I haven't seen him since he went back to KGO.

Actually, I've gotten hooked on Larry Elder one KNEW 910 AM 4-7. He recently converted to the GOP, and his shows are generally excellent.Me too. I switch stations after Dr. Laura's first idiot caller...
To: Political Junkie Too
Wow - you're a Wilson Watched from Way back! Well, he's still got a big head ... I'd like a side by side screen shot with Neil Cavuto. :-)

Oh yes, her idjit callers... all you have to do is listen carefully for a few weeks, and most of the either/or questions are pretty obvious. There are a few delicate ones that are more difficult, but oh, MY!

I checked to be sure, but I was wrong. The station where I've heard her is somewhere on the left side of the dial, but it's not KSTE. Her website has a list of her affiliates, though. Just go to
http://www.lauraingraham.com/public/theshow/affiliates/ and click on the map for a list of the stations that carry her show. It might be KNCO 830 in Sacramento, which comes in pretty well at night in the East Bay.

Thanks for doing the legwork! I would get a kick out of a Tammy Bruce call-in show, too ... I know she had done one down in LA.

Ok, I'm late to the game here.
Savage is off the air on KSFO? Is he on anywhere in SF now?
910? Was that the sports station and now it's a conservative station?
Please fill me in.
To: I_Love_My_Husband
Hi - KNBR 680 and Ticket 1050 are the two main sports stations. THe A's are heard on 610, which is normally an oldies station.
KNEW 910 used to be CNET, I think - a business- and technology-oriented station, which was a pretty neat station. I think they played standards before that. Anyway, 910 has some good programming now.

CNET radio is gone? Aww I liked them. Except they had to many commies and weird djs like Alex Bennett and that guy on at night that hated napster and hated the dot com thing. I remember him saying outrageous stuff like "they're burning through money like it's gasoline!" Er thanks a hole. Now we don't HAVE dot com anymore :(
To: I_Love_My_Husband
Yeah, CNET is gone. I listened from time to time, always at different times, and had no idea who the announcers were. But from time to time, I'd hear something really meaty and interesting. :-)

I also just called KSFO at 415-954-7449 and told them they've lost another long time listener!!!!
To: I_Love_My_Husband
Is he on anywhere in SF now? I heard him on the dial yesterday. My radio was a cheap analog, so I can't say the frequency precisely, but it was greater than the 610 oldies station and less than 680 KNBR.

That would be KSTE 650, out of Sacramento.
