It appears that Donnie is perhaps white, black, or a latino-oriental mix which may be northern chinese or perhaps, some type of american indian. The van is tan or some shade of brown, maybe a UPS truck, with plates which are suspected from some state west of Maine.

My hunch is that he's Native American, hence his full name of Donnie Red Herring.

Witnesses also describe Donnie as being somewhere in height ranging from Mini-Me to Yao Ming. Since he is known to wear a disguise, he could pass for someone as young as 16, or as old as Yoda . . .

I hope Donnie IS from Maine. Might help the tourist business ... off to a slow start this summer. You know, "Visit the killer's childhood home" tours, etc.
