Saddam Hussein's daughters are planning to seek asylum in Britain, it has been claimed. A cousin of the deposed Iraqi president told a London-based Arab newspaper that he was arranging an application for asylum for Raghad, 35, and Rana, 33, who are currently living in humble Baghdad homes, having been thrown out of their palaces. Britain was top of the sisters' list for asylum destinations, said London-based exile Izzi-Din Mohammed Hassan al-Majid, but if they were refused access, they would try to start new lives in Egypt, Qatar or the United Arab Emirates.

I hope and pray these ladies favored their mother.

I hope and pray Great Britain does not let them in...

They do favor their Mother, except for their upper lips, where identical mustaches to daddy's are growing.

Hey are these the same daughters whose husbands defected with the daughters 8 years ago? Then daughters who didn't want to defect whined and cried to their hubbys to take them back to daddy dear. Even though these guys were warned they would be executed and Saddam assured these guys and the international community they wouldn't be harmed, first step back into Iraq these sons-in-law of Saddam were executed. If these are the same babies, they shouldn't be allowed to emigrate elsewhere. Keep them in Iraq. Better yet, let these women emigrate only to Iran or Syria.

They must absolutely NOT have access to their daddy's milti-BILLION dollar bank accounts in Switzerland. That money rightfully belongs to the Iraqi people. It is stolen money.

There's lots of room up there on that hill where Barbra Streisand lives.

How about here in Mexico? Trotsky died here! We've got mansions, maids. They even look a little bit like Mexicans.

Has anybody checked to make sure these really are Saddam's daughters and not possibly Saddam, Uday, and Qusay?
To: Land_of_Lincoln_John

I see their first choices are a Western nation. What? Qatar and Abu Dabi aren't the first two choices? Algeria is nice this time of year I hear.

May the daughters of Saddam, who allowed their husbands to be killed, live in fear the rest of their lives, in Iraq.
To: Conservababe
It is on record that they told their husbands not to go back to Iraq but they didn't listen.

Let them stay in Iraq.
To reward any member of that obscene wannabe dynasty with even a cold-water walk-up council flat in a Dagenham estate in the Belgium Neo-Soviet's furthest-flung-but-one squalidly-socialist satellite state would be to spit on the graves of the millions of Saddam's and their siblings' victims.
