I have several good digital photos of the visit that could be uploaded to the FR site. I will need to make the technical arrangements here, if possible, in South Korea and then get word from a Freeper by "freepmail" as to a website I can post them so they can then be linked to the FR site.
Thank you and 'yorobon kamsahamnidda'.

Initially, in lieu of my own photos, here follow some general photos of the area, starting with a layout model (in the North) of the JSA area. You can note the blue buildings, which belong to the free side, and the grey buildings, which belong to the enemy.

This is a picture (oddly enough) taken by a visit to the North from the North side, of the MAC building. You can note in the foreground KPA (north Korean) miltary guards, and facing them, ROK guards in the battle position. The building on the right is the one we entered. Note the strip of raised concrete between the North and South, near the North Korean guard standing sideways and the South Korean soldier (just over the line) with his back faced to the camera. (It is that line one crosses over inside the MAC building that technically takes you into North Korea.)

Communist vitriol outlining the visit of Kim Jong-il to military units, the glorious 'chuche' (self reliance) and 'songkun' (total Army) policy of the North, not to mention the 'savage' Americans and Japanese imperalists conspirators who are hell bent on destruction of the peaceful socialist North.
"chuche?" If they're so self reliant, why are they always hitting the American taxpayer up for aid? LOL

PING
Here is something for you.
(Can you 'ping' some of the usual regulars, as I don't have quick mental recall of all of them at this time).
Thanks.

they would deny it even if you confronted them with this obvious truth and change the subject and/or hurl insults in return

Thanks. And here is a b/w photo of the area from the South side, which shows "Panmungak" pavillion of the North in the distance. That building used by the north is only about 30 feet wide (kind of akin to a Hollywood set).
The new, modern, spacious pavillion built by the SOUTH, on the other hand and partially in the first photo on this page, is very impressive and says it all.

Correction, photo showing the South's new pavillion, on the South side of the MDL Line, partially is shown in the SECOND photo in this report.

Thanks for your time and effort "reporting" back to us at FR. I hope and pray all works out at the DMZ, and for your safety.
I remember seeing the "Iron Curtain" in the 1980's, it was sobering standing there looking at your enemy from a mile or two away, looking back at you.
