I like how they stuck the subplot in there about Marlin learning how to tell a joke by the end of the movie. It was totally unnecessary for the plot, but it added to character development-- and Brooks was a great choice for playing that character.

I forgot about that. It was positively charming!
I think it showed how his level of confidence had grown after his successful rescue of Nemo.
I really have to see this movie again!
