Speaking of JOINT PROPERTY: Are heirlooms (diamonds in this case) given to a close relative (granddaughter in this case) considered joint property? I'm wondering how Scottie could demand them back, unless it's a CA thing.

Oh, and goodness, you don't suppose that vehicle of Laci's Scott sold might have been property that her heirs had a claim on? Gee, where'd the funds from that go, anyway?
