No...you're not worthy of the effort. You're young and dumb....and these kind hearted FReepettes are just being cordial to you cause that's their nature.Actually, I meant what I said, and I'm reasonably sure Cathryn did too - but I'll let her speak for herself.

I meant it, as well. Actually, it's in my nature to be quite mean! ;-)
I do believe that we have a responsibility to be as cordial as possible when arguing, especially about this issue.
As for being young and dumb, I qualify!

I'm not gonna piss on either of your boots.
If you want to be nice and think you can persuade any idgit who thinks outlawing abortion is "enslaving women" be my guest.
If you agree with him...then..well...I'm damned sorry.
Folks like him will only get it when they have children of their own...and I'd bet he is soltero right now or he wouldn't be spouting PC platitudes that he thinks will endear him to the opposite sex.. If he doesn't "get it" after children then he never will.
Odd, how here on FR there seems to be a slight edge of men over women on my side of this issue. Maybe not so odd after all.

I appreciate your attempts to persuade me with the intelligent arguments of Ms. Crawford. Honestly, I can see why people are opposed to abortion. I just can't say that I agree with them. To me, it's having to choose the lesser of two evils, and I feel allowing abortion to remain legal produces less misery for the world than the alternative.
I do agree with those that oppose Roe v. Wade, simply on the grounds that it reeked of judicial activism (even though I agreed with the end result). I believe it should be an issue for individual states to address.
