I agree with you that this debate depends a lot on perspective. However (and this is a big however) I simply cannot agree with his actions. Yes, as I said, I could justify it. I could argue that perhaps his view was that he was saving innocents by killing the guilty. As some pro-lifers say, this is a war, and everything is fair game. There are several problems with this view.

1) You cannot confirm that you will not be harming innocents by your actions. There will always be the possibility that someone that you "didn't mean to be there" will be there.

2) Your moral high ground is lost by the killing of another human being. How can you stand up and say that you are pro-life, when you use that platform to kill? Doesn't that make you no better than the people that you are saving?

3) By taking the law into their own hands, they are negating their own cause, which is to have the laws concerning abortion changed. This shows that they don't believe the law always applies, so what right do they have to lobby for a law to be changed? Just a thought.

Despite the fact that I understand the rage, I can't agree with this. I just can't.

Some nearly 1,200 (and counting) Iraqis were 'collateral damage' in the liberation of Iraq. What does your logic make our President? Just wondering...

"2) Your moral high ground is lost by the killing of another human being. How can you stand up and say that you are pro-life, when you use that platform to kill? Doesn't that make you no better than the people that you are saving?"

Moral high ground? I don't cross the line into accepting that this is how the war should be fought for truly innocent life that is being slaughtered (over 40 million 'legally' in America since 1973). Not at this point anyway. I do believe in the defense of innocent life, but am not moved to bombing aborticide sanctuaries or killing aborticiders and their accomplices. I have yet to be persuaded that stopping a murderer from murdering an innocent, helpless victim by killing them, if need be, is 100% morally wrong however. Again, legal=lethal and laws are enacted to make unlawful acts legal.

This is mostly true from my perspective and how I 'fight' this 'war'. I do not condone this act of civil disobedience, but I can fully understand the perspective, if in fact we do ever determine the true intent of the bomber(s).

I'm in a different class here than some people. I don't condone murdering doctors who perform abortions, and I get no joy from their demise when it occurs - but if some can't bring themselves to conclude that murdering the staff of a legally operated clinic is wrong, perhaps they can at least see the obvious problem with this sort of "justice".
