Either we are a nation of people who respect the law or we aren't... If we aren't... we are a uncivil society and no better than those with the likes of Saddam and Osama..

I can't respect a law that allows the murder of 4000 innocent human beings a day. I consider a society that sits back and allows it to be uncivil.

You have every right and maybe even a duty to not respect any law that you find morally repugnant but you also have to be prepared to accept the consequences of disobeying any law if you choose to do so.
