High-definition TV exposes Hollywood's ugly truths

Okay question for you. I was under the understanding that a lot of the props a few years back (i.e. news desks, sitcom chairs and tables) were having to be replaced for this exact problem that would arise. Have you seen any of that on the HD channels you do get

This makes no sense. The source for the HD videotape is the film. The videotape can't create definition that isn't in the film.
