I kept thinking that this was an Onion article or some sick attempt at humor.
Only the French would hire a pervert and anti American left winger like Allen to mend fences.
The remarks re French Fries was another Frog attempt to insult Americans. The whole ad is an insult to Americans.
This will cost them money and make even more Americans boycott their products.

Either the French made a huge marketing error or they have written off main stream America and are trying to encourage more travel to France from NYC, Hollywood and San Francisco. Woody Allen does have fans. This could be demographically targeted to higher income groups on the far left.
