There have been at least two attacks of people in the greater Phoenix area which appear to be related to intolerance of Muslims. In the two cases in our news, both victims were Indians who wore turbans. Neither was a member of the Moslem faith.
One man was shot shortly after September 11 and one was shot last week.

Malkin's point is that we should hold off making judgements about motivation until all the facts are in, and that the actual number of "hate crimes" is far smaller than seen at first blush.

This case was posted here when it happened, and Freepers predicted that it was a "self-imposed" hate crime to cash in on the insurance.
