In the first Gulf War, Barbara Wawa did her Friday night program interviewing the troops stationed in the mid-east. While talking to one of the female soldiers, Wawa said that she noticed that the soldier was wearing a wedding ring and wanted to know if there had been any "Affairs of the Heart" over there since she had been activated and left her family at home?
