There will in all likelyhood be a change in venue, because if Scott is convicted, it will be cause not only for appeal, but possible overturn if trial were held in Modesto. So, everyone should be prepared for that to happen.

There is no location to be found where they will be able to sit a jury of 12 people that have not heard of the case, but they will be able to find a jury that will be able to sit and judge the evidence presented before them in the courtroom. That I believe will be possible.

We here are one thing, talking about our opinions, but when it comes time to deal with a man's life, it's another situation.

If he gets the death penalty he automatically gets appeals. I don't agree with change of venue. I belive if there is enough factual evidence that he will be found guilty. However there are still "reasonably intellegent" people in this town who would judge the evidence on it's own merits. Frankly, none of todays events have a thing to do with SP guilt or innocence.

that is why I believe the Giromali is keeping the warrants, autopsy, and wiretaps, under seal(cough cough, Geragos) pending til July 16th. After that hearing who knows. Wait take it back, maybe the June 6th hearing might get word, but it reads from the last court docs, the Judge is trying to preserve the case for court trial, not public trial. (me thinks Geragos is doing all he can, so in the final end of appeals pending a conviction of death, the higher courts will rule against the conviction based on fair trial. And if that happens, would the DA prosecute again?)
