Jackie said that the Rochas went by the jewelers and got the diamonds!!!!!!!!!! (Of course, she's been known to lie, so we should wait for confirmation from the Rochas.)

"How long was the baby inside her? Did any expert ever say how long it could remain in utero?'I am not sure if any expert has said "exactly" how long the baby could remain in utero. But if I recall correctly I think I heard them discussing the fact that as long as the water was below so many degrees the baby could remain in utero. It took the warming up of the water, which then caused gasses to build up in Laci's body and then the baby was expelled.
So based on the fact that it was winter time (cold water) when the killings took place, and there was significant flesh on the baby when it washed up on shore, the "water birth" probably took place not to long before discovery.

But ally... what was Laci's wedding ring doing off her finger in the first place? Why is her wedding ring not lying on the bottom of the bay???
To: Carolinamom
I hope they did. If the jeweler gave them to the Rochas, then the jeweler did the right thing.
To: redlipstick
Peterson said the rings and gems had been taken to a jeweler, for crafting into one ringIs this for real??

Yep! I'll ping you to the article right now.

Greta will have segment re: allegations from Laci's friends that Scott hit her and is that admissable in court.I was busy all day yesterday and don't have cable TV so when did this all come out?
From everthing I have heard and read I thought her friends said they appeared to have a perfect marriage.

That would be one mean ankle-biter! My Gina is a Westie and my freinds call her that because when I first got her she loved to nip at your feet when you walk and with those sharp puppy teeth..ouch!!She was 3 lbs when I got her and my friends Ma called her a "rat on a leash!"

We're all going to be a bruised and battered bunch by then if this drama keeps up for that long!
I e-mailed Geragos this AM and told him to keep up the good work, his leaks and his attack on the Rochas is burying his client.

Feiger is being so sane, and Ted, who I loved during "the summer of Chandra" has gone insane. Has the world turned upside-down?
I think the News Media says, It's your turn to be the bad guy and his turn to be the good guy. When we get our next murder you get to change places. :-)

If the Rocha attorney said that he should be forced to re-take the bar exam.
There is no necessity for a "death certificate". There is an identified dead body, or has everyone forgotten that? Pursuant to California Law Scott is the owner of the house by "right of survivorship". This occurrs imediately at the time of death of either of the parties to the deed. The law does not require probate to establish ownership.
If there was no body and no evidence of Laci's death, Scott could refuse entry into the house. He has an un-divided half ownership interest in the house. The Rocha's have no legal ownership interest in the house whatsoever. Scott has given his mother power of attorney over his property- including his house. The Roachas' have no similar power of attorney granted by Laci.
The Petersons', by virtue of the power of attorney and the lack of same by the Rochas', do indeed have the ability to determine who may enter the house.
The Petersons' and the Roachs' do not have equal access.

Wouldn't life be SO much easier if our spouses just got on board from the get-go?
LOL.....I remember back during the 2000 elections. Hubs was just as hooked as I was (well, almost) in watching EVERY single chad inspected, every new court hearing, every nuance or press conference. He was agreeable to restructuring our comings and goings around that fiasco in Florida. Made life SO much easier.
I'm going to keep force-feeding him the Peterson case JUST IN CASE..... When he comes home from work and asks me "what's new" in the Peterson case....I'll know my efforts have paid off!
