Perhaps this is a ploy by the defense to skew the facts and muddy the waeter ... but with the high level and variations or versions of Santaria and other forms of Satanism in thise state (CA) wherein even wierd deaths vanish under a cloud of secrecy, I cannot throw out this defense theory.

I agree, nothing can be thrown out yet. But I have a feeling that it's a defense ploy and that the circumstantial evidence against Scott is too much to overcome.
