Arghhhh, I mixed up the posts!!! George I mixed them up, see my last reply to HiTech ;-)

During the murder might Scott (or whoever) have stabbed Laci so deep that it penetrated Connor in womb too? Shriekingly shocking.

Yes it is possible. I remember seeing my babies kicking and stretching while I was pregnant. My stomach would bulge because they were kicking or pushing with their hands. Being short-waisted, I had to walk around with my arms up in the air at times so my son wouldn't take out my lower ribs :) There isn't much between an 8 month old baby and the outside world. The uterus is stretched pretty thin at that stage. Unfortunately it is quite possible to kill an unborn child with a knife.

Today the report said that baby was older than they thought, between 33 and 38 weeks.

Been there, done that. My youngest weighed 9 lbs. 5 ozs. and I had horrible heartburn during my whole pregnancy. He ended up being 3 weeks late and I ended up with gas trapped in my esophogus because he was so big. I thought I was having a heart attack because I had such bad pain in the middle of my chest. We went to the emergency room and the doctor said: "Honey, you ain't getting rid of that gas until you get rid of that baby!" He sent me off with bottles of Gelusil which briefly helped. Later that night I was back in the hospital because my water had broke. 32 years later, the heartburn never left. I've been living on medication for acid reflux. So many of us women who gave birth suffer from this due to damage done to the sphincter muscle that covers the esophogus.
