None of this is making any sense. The autopsy reports were sealed, I thought. This report of a knife wound and a plastic cord seems impossible, because the feotus would be in the same state of decomposition as the mother, if the baby was exposed to the water the same amount of time. It seems more likely that maybe someone saw the body of the baby on the beach and stuck it with something to be sure what they were looking at.

If her body had beeen wrapped in plastic and taped shut and the child was espelled post mortem and remained in this wrap until it tore, some of the tape could have become wrapped around the neck as it floated free. The point is, without more, this adds little to the resolution of the case.
