Good guess. As for Connor's body not being as decomposed as Laci's AND having the umbilicord still attached, with his "coffin death" he would be enclosed in the sac and thus protected still further. I can see the "tape" and wound being post mortum and post "birth"......NOT administered by any person but by debris in the water churned up by turbulence caused by weather and/or ships.

You needn't take on the blame for the obsession of one poster with "defending Amber", and attempting to keep the conversation solely directed towards that. That idee fixe has been in evidence for some time now.

The reason for others' obsession with "defending Amber" is not as clear. I guess one could speculate, though.

I was refering to any strangulation type damage that may have been done to the baby's neck while in the womb or connected to Laci. I had no idea they found debris tangled around his torso. I agree that the two items are not similar in appearance. ; )

Re: JP's being "protective," reminds me of the American taliban's family, et al. These people who refuse to see the truth about their offspring. IMHO, not only has snotty acted in a despicably cruel, unfeeling manner, his parents have done the same thing over the loss of THEIR grandson, and what appeared to be a very decent, popular, sweet daughter-in-law.
