20 million counts disease and starvation and mass German executions. Germans often starved victems...easier then shoot. Average estimates 28-30 million, few purges during war...most old generals reinstated to fight.

I was not talking about deaths directly attributed to Germany. I'm talking about people away from the front who died simply due to lack of food and medicine. And yes, millions where purged even during WWII.
