To: Cathryn Crawford
LOL....we still get erroneous calls seeking reservations at a hotel chain that had our number 10 years ago!
I can only imagine how long these poeple will get calls.

Have to have a tutone phone for that?

Movies and television always use phony phone numbers identified by the non-existent 555 exchange.
Somebody screwed up.

Ah ha! I knew men only wanted to watch that movie because of her!
Although more enlightened men say she's not that good looking...;-)

None of the names listed here show up on the Yahoo phone search, and Google returns no hits on "Colorado Radio Network."
The names must have been changed to protect the innocent....

This story has been in the news for days, providing millions in free advertising for the movie.
Somewhere, some evil genius producer is due a huge bonus.

Movies and television always use phony phone numbers identified by the non-existent 555 exchange. Occasionally I've seen 55X [X != 5]; I've only seen two phone numbers starting with 55X, so that may also be a fair candidate. It's also not uncommon to hear phone numbers in the "KLondike 5" exchange.
Rear Window had a non-55X NNX exchange (24X), which I found odd. Some moderately-old (20 years or so) movies used numbers of the form N1X or N0X, which at the time were not valid exchanges (even though they are now).

Isn't that the phone number in some old song?
To: William McKinley
I try it frequently with various area codes when wasting time in hotels and have nothing to do.

Movies and television always use phony phone numbers identified by the non-existent 555 exchange. I think in Sneakers, one of the characters gave a valid-sounding phone number, complete with area code. I never tried calling it, but I wouldn't be surprised if the producer installed some sort of message there [but may have given up that line ages ago]. Actually, that might be a clever way of marketing something, if the phone number in the movie reached a sales pitch.
On a parting note, in the first Simpsons episode animated (not the first one aired), an America's-Most-Wanted spoof had the phone number 1-800-U-SQUEAL. I wonder if they didn't think people's phones would have Q's (a commonly-advertised phone number around here is 1-800-QUIT-YES).

"God, I really need to talk to you,"I've been getting calls like that for years.
Phone company says there's nothing they can do to help. ;-)

Hmmm.
Noticed I changed my tagline. Are you pleased?

Yahoo phone search sucks. They have mine WAY wrong, and list the one I have now as belonging to the folks who had it 2+ years ago.
