This priest is getting off lightly. One year for each offense is not much more than a slap on the wrist. He just made the mistake of committing 20 offenses. Hopefully he'll die in prison.
This may help the roman catholic church reform itself, but I doubt it.

Sexually abusing a child is a crime that will affect the victims forever. People who are sexually abused go on to abuse others, commit other crimes , suffer mental illness, or deal with the effect of the trauma forever.
It's no accident he wanted this position of power as a priest. I wonder if he'll find out in prison what it's like to be abused.

Let this pervert stay in the general population, pay backs are due.

This is just the 20 he copped to. I wonder how many more out there too ashamed to come forwared?
Interesting also the note about laws changing... so 20 years ago this would have netted him 400 years and now the MAXIMUM for abusing 21 little children is 20 years, with possiblitity of parole in 1 month?
And we wonder why crime is rampant.

Kelly, the archbishop who was aware of these crimes and condoned them for over a decade, should receive a life sentence. The death penalty would be more appropriate. I'll bet a lot of priests, archbishops, and other hanger-ons are puckering up about now.

Give him one month to think about what he did.
Then execute him.

The Courier-Journal headline stressed "20 Years," but he is unlikely to serve more than four, if that long.

or could get shock probation after he serves one month. SHOCK Probation?!
I got your shock probation right here.

Bet some of the victims would like an opportunity to use that on Miller.

We need to get these man-made religions out of here if they're going to have decades upon decades of criminals running them.

I have NEVER heard of Shock Probation before, but I think I already do NOT approve.
This is the sort of person an ideal justice system will KNOW how to punish.

This is just the 20 he copped to. I wonder how many more out there too ashamed to come forwared? Among others, I'd wonder about his connections to James *Father Jim* Leyendecker, convicted of concealment of a body in Illinois following the death of a Vincennes University student during a string of gay serial killings. So following his conviction, where did they sentence the pedophile to spend his incarceration? In a state boy's school. The fix was in.
Leyendecker had previously been named by a Louisville area grand jury, and for a while had been a suspect in the June 1983 disappearance of then-12-year-old Ann Gotlib of Louisville, the daughter of Russian immigrant parents.

Jesus told it like it is.
But then, He didn't preach nor teach anyone how to become a Protestant, did He?

No, He founded a Church, which gave us the Bible and which continues unbroken from Peter to John Paul II.
