UN will do nothing until the death toll approaches 1,000,000- then it will withdraw UN troops. US will be blamed!!

It's likely we won't do anything until the death toll approaches that number either. We can't have it both ways - delegitimizing the U.N. some days, then suddenly wanting the U.N. to take care of these things. Liberation comes for some, but not for others.

The problem is that the UN is already charged to maintain the peace in the Congo, just as the were in Rwanda. They won't stand behind their own words and troops. The countries that are already committed won't send their troops.

I would hope that we don't get involved. The UN is duplicitous and once we're there, they won't back us up.
