Tenet still swears to this day, that what Pollard did, cost american agents there lives, Woosley is in the same boat. They have been adamant about opposing Pollard ever being released (And Woosley is hardley anti-semetic, his pro-israeli views are well known). William Session wishes that Pollard had been executed, the rage in him runs so deep. I'm inclined to believe that Pollard is guilty, no matter what anyone says, bottom line, he gave documents to a foreign country, when he took an oath to serve this one.

His loyalty should have been to the United States of America, he was given orders, he ignored them, he did commit treason, he is guilty. Those are the facts, everything else is window dressing.

Woolsey may well be pro-Israel, but he's hardly anti-Saudi, to the best of my knowledge. What this article implies is that Saudi petrodollars may well have bought far more influence in Washington than our leaders, particularly the "oil cabal" of the GOP, is willing to reveal.

I still tend to believe Pollard's guilt, though I don't discount the possibility of politicization of his case.

This says it all. Pollard should remain behind bars until he breathes his last. He was a spy who betrayed his country. To whom he betrayed it, or for what ostensibly idealistic reasons, is irrelevant. To say otherwise would be to excuse the "idealistic" Americans who betrayed their country to spy for the Russians, such as Alger Hiss and the Rosenburgs.

Traitors should be executed "for the encouragement of the others" -- to send a very clear message that treason will not be tolerated.
