YES! You have the insight of the day! If it were my children in distress, I'd do whatever I had to do to be near them. Here is a woman who can easily afford to purchase a house for her son to live near her, why can she not purchase a place near him....inquiring minds...

Yes, I know it's unkind, but could it also be guilt that makes her so haggard in this relationship? I wonder just how comfortable with the gay lifestyle she really is?

But the flavor of the article sounded like Jason wanted nothing to do with his mother, or her offers of care. Doesn't matter how much she wants to help (it read that it's obvious she does want to take care of him)...he wants no part of it...or her.
Damage has been done in that relationship, a long time ago. I hope it resolves. Life is to damn short.
