Sounds like future JAG episode....lawyers can deploy self in fighter planes and find culprits.

My understanding is the first guy fell overboard chasing a football on the flightdeck.

The closest thing to a fighter you'll see on this type of ship is a Marine Corp Harrier aircraft a single seater at that. But that wouldn't stop Hollywood!!!!

You may have to add "boyfriends" to your list. I think a homo relationship was rumored to be a possible cause of the Iowa gun turret explosion. Who knows, maybe the first guy was the lover.Durn. You must have had to reach way up into your decending colon to find this piece of excrement.

Of the million or so people serving in the US military, there are at least a few who do not deserve to wear the uniform. Of the doctors in the US, there are at least a few who should not be practicing. And so on for the other professions. I am not trying to insult our armed forces. However 2 guys going overboard from the same ship in the same week is so unusual, an unusual explanation might be in order. And the rumor about the Iowa explosion was widely reported at the time and it may or may not be true.
Satisfied ?

Yeha but don't they screen snail mail for this sort of thing? I know they screen the email on my husband's boat and the familygrams that we are able to send they tell us not to send messages like that....it could be a Dear John letter in this case, I don't know...

I believe that rumor about the Iowa ended up totally discredited. (No thanks to the Naval Investigative Service, which was pushing it.)

I'm not familiar with Navy rules/regulations but is alcohol allowed on the ship? That's the first thing that came to mind.

Whatever.

Not, not at all...unfortunetly, bad US series always make to Russian television...Heman...er Herculies, Tarzan the series, etc....far from best viewing...no Friends :0(. Will JAG lawyer then command detachment of Special Forces to capture villans? They had episode where they even saved Putin.

Never heard that incoming e-mail or family grams are screened, it's the outgoing e-mail that's screened and only when it's deemed appropriate for operational security. Recieving a Dear John letter is not in that category.

Yes there's alcohol onboard but nothing like a daily ration that you find in most Navy's. Those who get any are few and far between unless you happen to be the Commanding Officer.

That was proven to be a slanderously false accusation cooked up by the Navy to deflect attention from poor maintenance and dangerously outdated gunpowder, which were the real causes of the explosion. The Iowa Class Battleships were an accident waiting to happen and should never have been brought back from mothballs, according to a lot of people whose opinions I respect on matters Naval.
