You are correct! But please let us not forget that little Tommy Daschle's wife (Linda) was a lobbyist for the airline industry and helped to successfully block efforts to enhance airport security.

Maybe my statement was not worded well. I was trying to point out the double-standard for President Bush versus Clinton; that is, Bush gets total responsibility/blame when something goes wrong AND Clinton and his supporters are able to pass the blame.

As I said in an earlier post about "Bojinka", you're absolutely correct!--Clinton admin knew in 1995.

I had also heard about Daschle's wife being a paid lobbyist, though never heard it in the mainstream news.
