Maybe the next time NASA's funding is up for a vote some more "Mars rocks" will turn up.

Like the programs I flew actually had anything at all to do with "creationism". Heck, I never have even heard a disussion about it on any mission I was ever on (including interplanetaries).

I was not impugning anyone who participated in a NASA space mission. Those missions are based on proven science, physics, aerodynamics, etc. But there do seem to many to be some associated with NASA that announce some new finding that appeals to the pop-science crowd, and then on further study they slowly back away during the months after [as in the case with the "Mars rocks" which were touted originally as virtual proof of life on Mars]. I won't believe anyone who says that NASA doesn't engage in self-beneficial PR. But maybe I've read too many articles by individuals commenting on NASA data, not articles produced by NASA itself.
