You bet Chertoff is one of the good guys, and if then-chair, Alfonse D'Amato hadn't forced Chertoff to stop his questioning, Web Hubbel's butt would have been nailed to the wall. And, if I'm not mistaken, Chertoff was US atty who *helped* nail some of the mob, and what can be wrong with that; if they had to "misuse" some of the mob snitches fine with me (if this is the correct way I'm reading the reference).

IMO, Chertoff knows more about the Clintons than anyone in the Judicial Dept of the US Govt. Too, too bad he can't be turned loose to get the scuzzy thieves off the streets.

IMO, Schumer overstates his importance.
