It's a game to lawyers, isn't it? Guilt and innocence don't matter; only the lawyer's ability to get the perp off, advancing the lawyer's career and income and profession.
And it isn't just the big-name lawyers or the high-profile cases. This is from top to bottom. Lawyers' jobs consist of getting criminals off-the-hook, freed, exonerated, with no regard for TRUTH. Or for the crimes or the victims. All in the name of "right to counsel"---supposedly.
I don't think it was intended to be this way: that there would be a profession whose purpose is to enable and fascilitate the breaking of the law by criminals. But that is what we now have.
TRUTH means nothing any more. Easy to see why the Clintocks and their pals are lawyers, isn't it?
