Ya know, there have been several people claiming from the beginning the police didn't interview them or they were just blown off because it didn't fit with "the husband did it" theory. All these people who claim they saw Laci should be taken for their word until they are proven wrong. None of us were there. None of us know what happened. None of us know anything other than the prattle the media decides it can sensationalize. If I were on the jury, the prosecution would have to give me more than the husband is a stupid jerk so he must have done it. Who among us wouldn't change our hair style/leave home/carry other ID or whatever it took to not be recognized and spit upon by the public every time we so much as bought a gallon of milk? Present me with the bloody crime scene, not just "Scott sold her car so he must have hacked her to death in the kitchen/bedroom/nursery". Present me with the anchor/chains/rope/blood stains in the boat not just "Scott may be missing a supposed anchor and at one time he might have carried/stored cement in the boat". Oooooh, he mopped the floor (if only Mr. M knew what a mop was!) never mind that everyone knows luminal will pick up blood, but somehow a mopped floor is reason for a public hanging. If Scott is such a moron then he's bound to have left some evidence. Show me the actual evidence, not just supposition. I'm not too happy either with the investigators claiming they knew where the body was for weeks before a storm dislodged it to wash ashore - why the freakin' hell didn't they get it up at first sighting? Now they admit to listening in/recording illegal phone conversations, a big no-no. I'm not saying Scott did or did not do the dirty deed, but he is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Oh well, we'll all be back here when the trial starts and there'll be lengthy debates on the tacky tie or gawdy makeup one of the star players is sporting.
