I may be the only naysayer on this thread but I think this article is hype and kinda funny. Franks ain't Patton. Patton faced superior enemy tanks and better trained troops and still pushed farther and faster than any commander in the history of mechanized war. Franks faced a pathetic nation with outdated equipment, troops less than willing to fight, and defenses that barely existed. His enemey was "blind" to our movements while we had eyes in the sky that could see troop movements at real time. We also had total air superiority- something we didn't enjoy even at D-Day. Not to be harsh- but any commander could have pulled this victory off.
