Scientists Discover Agent for Removing SARS from Skin
BELGRADE -- Scientists from the Vinca Nuclear Science Institute near Belgrade have discovered an agent able to remove the SARS virus from the skin and contaminated surfaces.
A statement released by the Vinca instituteТs laboratory for Multi-Disciplinary Research explains that experiments conducted on surface proteins of the SARS virus and its components led to the isolation of a material that can effectively link the virus on its surface.
The statement reads: The substance in question has been synthesized and researched by the Vinca Nuclear Science Institute for two decades.
When suspension of the substance comes into contact with skin contaminated by the SARS virus it literally Сtakes overТ the virus due to its greater affinity for linking the matter.
The institute stressed that this research had led to the discovery of an efficient and completely harmless agent, which can considerably help in the fight against the spread of infection by the SARS virus.
