You're welcome. What I see on her face is the light of Jesus Christ! Do you see it? Even after all her sufferings???? I saw the face of a man from China who had suffered much in the Chinese prison system for his faith and for leading others in home churches. This man's face was truly like that of an angel. Do you notice that the faces of those who have suffered for their faith (and survived so we can see them) are full of childlike trust and glory? God's glory? Beautiful to see! Corrie Ten Boom had such a face. We are not all privileged to suffer like they did - not yet. But we should all be preparing for such trials. One never knows when the flames of adversity will engulf our nation as it has others. We should not expect to go through life without facing the dangers and persecution they faced. We should EXPECT persecution and be ready, by God's grace, and by reading the writings of those who have suffered.
I hope there are a few lurkers out there reading this post and perhaps taking to heart the exhortation to "gather God's Word" into our hearts in preparation for just such an eventuality.
