Tommy Thompson said the other day that 3,000 additional ventilators have been ordered and there are approximately 100,000 installed in this country. Approximately 80% of those are in-use during a normal flu season.

Bye.Interesting response to the supposition that I might be deceased due to SARS. Now, that's nice.

My posting is intended to help those who are trying to find information not found anywhere else (namely here on FR). Many others have truly helped me with important information on this forum. That is what makes us family...we share.

Interesting response to the supposition that I might be deceased due to SARS. Now, that's nice. You're the one who thinks they can foresee the future. Not me.
And I do not believe you can, either.

Trying to remember when I definitely predicted the future. Only God knows the future. Your responses, though, are interesting. You remind me of teenagers that I teach in school. A small core group always disparages what I have to say. However, the mom of one I taught in years past told me TODAY that her son (who gave me trouble many times in class) learned a LOT in my class. Over time, you will too. And, when you're wrong, send your mom to tell me you at that time appreciate what you've been taught.

Trying to remember when I definitely predicted the future. When you said you were probably going to die of SARS, which you referenced again today.

When you said you were probably going to die of SARS, which you referenced again today. That is in the context of IF the disease spreads into the U.S. It is highly contagious...some of us are susceptible to respiratory ailments, and the likelihood of my contracting SARS is pretty high. It was merely a supposition, not a prediction. Maybe I didn't present it in a way that was palatable to you. If you'll give me a rephrase that you find acceptable, then I'll make a point to use it.

That is in the context of IF the disease spreads into the U.S. Your original context, which you resumed weeks after this thread had died was "LOOK! LOOK! SARS IS COMING!!! HOORAY!!! I TOLD YOU IT WAS COMING!!!
I think it's wierd that you are looking forward with great anticipation to the prospect of a deadly plague.

Look at the charts of each below for today's trading and notice the rather large block trades on stocks that don't normally trade much and the overall increase in volume. These are not small players. The amount of money involved is rather large. Very interesting. Someone knows something we don't know:
Respironics chart 05/30/2003.
Res-Med chart 05/30/2003.
Via-Sys chart 05/30/2003.
Leaves me wondering why the sudden interest in companies producing respirators. Interest by someone with LOTS of money...not small investors.
