The PATRIOT ACT, however, makes such totalitarianism more possible. The PATRIOT ACT II they are said to be brewing up is supposedly more frightening.
Consider this: even if George Bush & Co. are trustworthy, can we be certain that Bush's successor (Repub or Dem) is going to be equally trustworthy?
We have to be very careful to consider the future repercussions of any laws that we allow our politicians to pass.
