That's the point of my book, to clearly lay out the consequences in the hope that our would-be commissars reconsider, in the knowledge that they personally would not be safe.

All the attention on telegenic "assault weapons" tells me they don't really get it. If they did, they would be more worried about "sniper rifles" AKA grandpa's .270 Winchester.

In fact, I expect to see more casualties from .22 rifles and shotguns, particularly cutdown versions, than anything else.

And once the penalties for possession of weapons reaches those for using them, they might as well be used. I don't cost nothing more, and after the first one, all the rest are free.
