I have no desire to face my grandkids when they ask me what I did in the economic war - and I have no substantive answer. You have raised a chillingly real question for those of us, which is most of us on FR, who care for more than ourselves. Here's my fantasy. On election day, we all go to the polls and answer the questions "What's best for America?" and "What's best for posterity?".

I don't think I'll be offered a realistic choice on election day. Better of two evils mabey, but hardly a choice IMO. I'm still waiting for someone to represent me. Funny thing, most people I know feel the same way, and have for many years.
