Alabama Cavier
2 15oz cans blackeyed peas, drained
1/2 cup chopped red onion
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1/2 clove garlic
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup canola oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper

Mix peas, onion, pepper and garlic. Combine remaining ingredients & pour over pea mixture. Cover and refrigerate at least 12 hours. Remove garlic & drain before serving.

I don't have time to read the thread, but did want to say ROLL TIDE ROLL!

Thanks for coming by and leaving the Alabama Caviar recipe, even though you are pressed for time. I have loved all of this particpation we have had today. Hope to see you here again when you have more time.

BTW, THAT kind of caviar I might just try....I've never had, nor intend to ever have, the real thing. LOL
