Not only straight, but by all accounts from folks I know who know him (I live in Raleigh; he's from here), one helluva nice kid.

Exactly. My family has known him for years; he is NOT gay.

And I'm sick of saying it to people who don't know what they're talking about, but love to toss the trash.

Really, Howlin? I'm glad. Clay has the most beautiful eyes. With what they've done for his image, and combined with what everyone is saying about his being such a quality person...it would be a waste if he played for the other team, you know?

It's difficult to explain...there's something quite engaging about Clay. I didn't like his boyish grins when he and Ryan would stand there and tell people what number to call, but when he sang...he sang right to you and through you--with those eyes. Good stuff.

I wish him all the best.

Prediction: If Rubin doesn't lose some weight, he'll die before he realizes all his dreams. That, too, would be a waste.

Really. He is a counselor at the Y right down the street from our neighborhood; he has been my cousin's kids counselor for about 4 years; he also goes to their church.

He is NOT gay, and like I said, it's making me FURIOUS to have to keep defending him.

I have heard him talking quit a bit on the TV around her in the last few weeks, and in the last few days on all the national shows; he appears to be QUITE intelligent, quick, and witty.

That's great. I was really pulling for him. He has the greater talent. I truly wish him all the best. What a small world. It's neat that you are so close to him. Thanks for sticking up for him - I'm sure he appreciates it.

What is really sickening about all this ,is that the person that deserved to win did not.The voting was flawed so there could be no clear winner.Fox should resolve this matter in a fair way ,otherwise many viewers will not watch the next idol myself included. Right is Right, and this was an unfair result and people should be upset.
