Ben Shahn was very popular when I was a kid. Sacco and Vanzetti made him as an artist. Background info and two of his paintings, both titled "The Passion of Sacco and Vanzetti", are here.

By 1961 definitive accounts of the guilt of Sacco and Vanzetti were published. The most significant of these was written by Max Eastman in the National Review but the commie left never gives up in spinning fairy tales. In 1977 Gov. Dukakis proclaimed Sacco and Vanzetti Day in the State of Mass.
