Gillette blades are much superior to Bic's. The fact is, however, that you are much more likely to beat up your face with the dull Bics than with the sharp Gillettes. At least that's my experience.

This is my experience as well. On the three occasions that I have tried BIC, I ended up looking like I had just walked away from a motorcycle accident! (nothing to do with anti-frogness either, I thought BIC was UK and Gillette was French)... My Mach III serves me quite well.
