Gotta give her credit. She did better than I anticipated for day 1. I figured 150 for two days.

The tough part for Annika and for most of the women is making birdies from the men's tees. Annika can make even the longest Par 4s in two (she did it today), but she is hitting longer irons than the men. That makes it harder to get close enough for birdie chances. Over the course of four days, that adds up to a lot fewer chances.

Making 15 pars was quite an achievement. Only one birdie is not going to get it done. I hope her putter is working better tomorrow and that she makes the cut.
