If a dog bite..shoot the dog...
If a gator bites...relocate it to another swamp

This entire article is about alligator public relations. "An alligator bit an eleven year old girl. We are currenlty checking to see if the gator was injured. Gators never attack unless provoked, yadayadayada."

Regardless of what predator and in what state, the response from the fish and game people is the same mantra after any attack:

An incident of an alligator attacking a person is "extremely rare, in my mind," said Lance Campbell of Wildlife and Fisheries.

Just change the name of the predator and the state to defend any predator attack.
