But the occasions in which I really drop trou' and exhibit the old rump involves the word "nigger" — the A-bomb of racial slurs. I'll get in a crowd of compassionate, caring liberals and start hurling that word around like confetti. I use that word in every way humanly possible – as a verb, adverb, noun, adjective and even as a dangling participle.
Kind of like Chris Rock, when he gets on that topic look out....LOL.

Rabidralph, There is nothing in the least bit courageous about turning your back on people who you care nothing about. That is why he is more like a social climber who shuns his family as embarrasments around his rich friends.

A lot of black conservatives are people who spent their formative years among white people from whom they absorbed a tremendous amount of, "I like you. You aren't like blacks at all." So they grow up learning to disassociate themselves from blacks whenever and wherever possible. There is nothing the least bit "courageous" about it. That is why black conservatives are perceived as more eager to live among white conservatives than act as any kind of emissaries to the black community.

But the occasions in which I really drop trou' and exhibit the old rump involves the word "nigger" — the A-bomb of racial slurs. Yes, Garbanzo this is pure racial self-loathing minstrel buffoonery. If this were what black conservatism is about, which way is the Sharpton campaign headquarters ?

everything black

What, exactly, does that mean? It seems to me that you are doing exactly what he said you would do, marginalizing him.

I get nervous every time I hear the words "reaching out" or "work with" this community or that community. Historical experience shows that "reaching out" or "working with" means pandering and abandoning principles to buy a few votes.

"Boy, you done lost your mind, showing your ass like that in front of me."

Oh no. My children are black.

I don't recall describing my actions as courageous. But I salute your "courage" in pointing out my shortcomings.

Or maybe it is what it is, a parody of the liberal black culture and liberal pc virtue.

Being a Black Conservative is undoubtedly much like being a Conservative in NYC, which is where I am now. You've got to make the best of it and learn to enjoy the fact that everyone hates your opinions but none of them can argue you down. Watch them try to argue against you and then witness their psychological/intelllectual collapse as you corner them. When they collapse, point out to them that they are babbling due to their stupidity, or, to be more polite, their ignorance. Good sport. Have fun.

A lot of black conservatives are people who spent their formative years among white people from whom they absorbed a tremendous amount of, "I like you. You aren't like blacks at all." So they grow up learning to disassociate themselves from blacks whenever and wherever possible.

I spent my formative years in Anacostia and then in an integrated middle school and high school in the Maryland suburbs. I attempted to become friends with the black kids, but for some reason, they rejected me because I had white friends, and they said this to my face. For several months, in HS, I was threatened with being beaten up because my friends were white. So your argument that we're not reaching out to blacks is flat wrong: we are being rejected--quite often in a hostile manner.

My mistake. I was responding to Maigrey's description of this character's "courage".

No offense intended.

The subjugation and degradation of black people has always been the foremost policy of the Democratic Party.

That's quite all right. I misread a few, myself. Let me add, I have nothing but praise and admiration for those that do try to educate liberal blacks, but it's not something I have the patience for.

OK, I've seen your name a few times now and I've got to stop and say hello. I'm not a big "gamer" but I really enjoy playing Tomb Raider. And, I too, am a big fan of Ann Coulter. Her columns almost always nail my thoughts about an issue.

Now, back to the issue.

"I'll get in a crowd of compassionate, caring liberals and start hurling that word around like confetti."

More like a cluster bombs I would say. This has got to be the one of the most fun things to do in a PC world that has ever been thought of. Wish I could do it.

It is characters like this who make things miserable for black conservatives who genuinely want to work within the black community as a viable political option.

But what is "community"? White conservatives don't think they have to associate with white liberals and work within that community. To each their own ---I can see why he might just want to forget all liberals and get with his own kind of thinkers. It's good to stay within the community if someone wants --but why be restricted by race to a "community"?

Where I come from any black who doesn't "act black, think black" is going to get more grief from blacks than whites.

When a black moves into a white neighborhood, it's the blacks who say, "They should get back over there where they belong."

Meanwhile, it's the white liberals who tell the black preachers to tell the other blacks how to vote.

I think that this person thinks that black people are as blended to a perfect political understanding, racally and politically as the Irish Catholic victims that I work with in Boston are.

I play the same game, as a Swamp Yankee, I went to all their schools, my Mother is Irish couldn't avoid it, throw the arguements out, refute and win converts.

I don't know his interactions with his friends or family, but I think he meant he is marginalized by Liberal black people, which most conservative blacks tend to be. I think he can still connect with his "humble" roots in his politically conservative social milieu, while (approporiately) rejecting his liberal peers.
